A welding photo...so??", but I'm thinking it's the combination of lighting & smoke which causes the "captivating effect". Maybe it's the view of the unviewable(with the naked eye). Thank you very much busted.. Nothing interesting with the shot.. Hand held Sony A55, ISO 400, 1/1250, F1.8, M, no flash, 50mm, edited shot on my IPad with a little program called Snapseed..

Thanks for the data, for some reason I was thinking the arc brightness would have blown out portions badly. This shows I am wrong. I also own that camera...it's a nice little workhorse.
