I'm looking at the Tamrac Expedition - 6X or 7X. Anyone had any experience with either - weight, room, comfort, ease of accessibility?

I looked at those and decided to purchase this instead.

Merry Christmas ScubaDude,
I purchased a Tamrac 5788 Evolution 8 Photo/Laptop Sling Backpack. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003D5MZUW/ref=oh_o00_s01_i00_details

I am glad I made the purchase. It is perfect for traveling, and easily accessible for all your photography needs, if you arrange everything the way you want it. It is not too cumbersome and comfortable. I purchased it for a trip to Russia for traveling, and I also purchased a Tamrac 5564 Explorer 400 Camera Bag.

The Explorer is great for short trips when one knows what they will need for a shoot.

I have a 7x and it holds one DSLR and two lenses plus room for cards and batteries. As I add a lens I'll need something else like a 9x but I'll wait until I come to that bridge. In the meanwhile I'll see what my camera club members use.

My impression in viewing the various sizes of the Evolution was wishfull that the 7 might accomodate; two DSLR's, 70x200L ,100x400L, 28x70L, 24x135 and 10x22 and a 100 macro, a couple of flashes and miscellaneous, and still get it into the airplane overhead - just not sure the 8 will fit the overhead well, although looks like it would likely hold my stuff. Thanks.

I'm sorry, I have a different model labeled a 7x. I don't have an evolution.
