I was going through some of my recent shots and somehow overlooked this one which I love! It's a baby cormorant making eye contact with a nice refection of his head and neck in the water. Soon, I am going to need an extra HD just for cormorant shots, but I just love the species!

Thanks HT - so serene and peaceful. A new cormorant enjoying its first season of its life!

PP, I have a great relationship with them. I spend a lot of time standing close to them. I notice that they are very easily spooked by others, but I took a considerable amount of time slowly approaching them initially and seeing them daily. They eventually accepted me to the point of allowing me to stand virtually within arms length and knowing that I am that close, turn their backs on me. These are the three that I encounter almost daily. Two adults and one young one.
