Backyard birds in burst mode

Just playing around with the camera, after trying out all the continuous shooting speeds available to the discerning SX50 owner. The windchill is still hovering around -10 degrees outside, so I am not venturing out there.

These were just a few shot from my kitchen window. I'm not claiming any great artistic merit here, they are all as shot, no PP. As far as I can tell, using burst mode there is no manual control of shutter speed available. It's pretty bright out there, though, so it was shooting fast.

Anyway, just as a proof-of-concept, here they are...

Fun shots! I've become a bit addicted to the mode :) You are right about no control over ISO, aperture or shutter speed in that mode. However, you CAN use the exposure compensation, which I do quite often.

Yeah, I think I will be playing with this a bit more... Shame it limits you to jpeg, too. Still, a lot of fun!

I don't consider JPG a limitation as that is all I shoot! Haven't found a situation where 'raw' would have been better than a properly exposed JPG!
