Just wanted to share my very first photos with everyone. I used the 18-55mm lens. No idea of settings other than the auto mode.

Taken in my back yard summer of 2013

Great start. I like them all, especially the ground level perspective on the mushroom. Keep up the good work, have fun and send in some more.

Very nice. You will learn a lot from UHH. Lots of really good photographers here who don't mind sharing their knowledge.
I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks RicknJude for the kind words. I hope to get better as I go.. I like taking photos like this. I'm in hopes of getting more and better shots next summer. I like it when the Keebler Elves start building their homes.... LOL Here's a few more shots. I think I need to come up with some kind of a back drop to block out things houses and such....

Thanks John, I like to get down on the ground and get as close as I can.. I need to start learning how to use the the aperture settings. The photo of the mushroom may have looked better had I of used a lower f-number. At least the background would have been faded out more... Any suggestions ?

Thanks Elliern, I'm looking forward to learning more. I think it's best to learn from the old timers (sorta speak) because they have more Knowledge from past experience. I hope one day to be able to see a subject and just shoot it without having to give it a great deal of thought... Does that sound right? What I trying to say is, Have all the right camera settings memorized and be able to set them real quick so I can a get a good shot....
