For a week, or so, Scanner Pro by Readdle is available free at the iTunes store. It's for the iPhone and iPad. It's usually $7.99.

I hope so. That's the only reason I got it. :D

Seriously, I bet it does because no one is going to try to counterfeit money using an iPhone.

I tried it with my iPad, and I don't see how it's different from a camera. I'll have to play with it more.

Jerry, thanks for letting us know about the app. When you determine the difference between the scanner and camera, I'd love to know.

The only thing I can use it on is my iPad - no iPhone, so I'll try to play with it tomorrow.

It's supposed to be able to save as a PDF, but I don't have that choice on the iPad. I can click on multiple scans, and that lets me do one after another. I don't see any difference between the camera and this scanner. For free, it's worth a try, though.

Yes, that's what my co worker said as well about the .pdf capability. I'm on an iPad only too. He also said the app has a good links to some cloud apps like Evernote or Google Drive that work pretty well.

Ah, yes. You can do that, too. No interest for me, though.

Basically, it takes a picture of pages and saves them as documents - like a scanner. Unlike a scanner, you are using your camera to take a picture, so focus and lighting come into play. Take a look at this link.
