Yeah, I've heard it is now the "norm" (normal) in the US to stay married less than ten years.

Yes I prefer to be abnormal. It is (I understand) to hard to retrain a new wife
these days.

DePratt, not any harder than it is to train a new husband. I, too, am abnormal...........we celebrated #44 in October. I have 2 "normal" sons, tho. Makes me sad.

Hello AnnaZ,

May you have many more years with your special person.

MY 3 sons I consider abnormal because they are still with their first mates.

I have yet to decide on my 9 grandchildren?

Well, it's kinda this way.............first off, we say, "Who else would have us?" And I say......"I've see what is out there and I've yet to see something that I'd take home to Mother". LOL

Wifie and I sometimes look back at our 56 yrs together - 1 year practicing before marriage in '58 and find our abnormality quite an interesting study.

I don't know if fate has anything to do with it.

We were told that as babies we crawled around on the floor together then met again in part of the 8th and 9th grades in school.

We lost contact until my senior year in school when I stumbled upon her again and we dated for 18 months until she graduated from high school.

Yes, I think it was meant to be.

I'm probably more abnormal than anyone on this forum.
I have been married to the same woman for 62 years.

When we were married I told her I would keep her for 50 years then trade her on two twenty fives but when we got to 50 years I decided I was too old and could not handel 2 twenty fives so I decided to keep her.

Yes, To keep her sometimes take a lot of thought and also :) :) it's cheaper to keep her! :) :)

The normal people don,t think so.

They would rather (handle) 2-- 25's.
