These were taken with a (film) P&S, some 20 years or so ago.

A good example of the photographer creating great pictures, not the camera. Well done.

John

PS. Just out of curiosity, how much longer are you going to sit there with your trombone before you blow it? Just kidding. I played the clarinet in high school and still take it out for a toot now and then. Old musicians never die but their lips sure do.

Pretty cool to think that's just about the time I walked that very path :)

Lovely images, Bloke.

I have it sitting on a stand in the corner of the kitchen to make it easy for me to practice. It's only been about 4 months since I last picked it up now... I play it in church every now and again, and after struggling to get the lip in shape each time, I promise myself that I will keep up at least *some* level of practice in the future... *sigh*

Been playing the thing now for 45 years, and can't bring myself to actually 'give it up', but I don't have the discipline to practice. One of these days...!

I wish I could be more exact... Of course no EXIF data, nor the printed date info I had on my previous camera (Canon A1). I lived in and around Rockville from the end of 1990 through somewhere in 95, so it was somewhere in the middle of that period.

Just spending the day going through some of my old scanned negs, trying to bring some of them to life in LR & PS...

Another example of "it's a small world after all!" I lived in Columbia MD from Apr 1993 - Jun 1995. Had a friend who lived near or in Rockville. Also lived in and around Arlington VA from 1986 - 1992 while in the Navy.

Even smaller - For most of 1995, I was living in Silver Spring (just of New Hampshire Ave.) and *working* in Columbia! We probably passed each other on Rt. 29...

Everyone else was commuting *in* towards DC, and I was going the other way.
