Fantastic boxing day sale on the Sigma 150 - 500 at Henry's Camera in Canada, couldn't resist the flash can wait. Tried it out in the parking lot and then at home lying on the couch shooting through the front window at the Christmas lights on the eve about 20 feet away. I think the image stabilization works quite well, the Christmas light was a handheld shot at 1/20 of a second at 150mm.
I think I will fill out the warranty card, it looks like a keeper.
full out at 500 mm no crop
150 mm 1/20 sec f6.3 heavy crop
first shot taken at 100mm
Your new lens is awesome! Lucky you!
Nice lens and very nice shots. Appears you are going to enjoy this one.
I'm sure you will like it. I like mine. I've gotten some very nice bird pictures and also some amazing hand held motorcycle panned shots at the races.

I assume you mean the last one was at 150mm.

good catch, I did mean 150, sometimes the fingers work faster than the brain. Seems to be happening a lot lately, lol
I played with the lens over the weekend and while still learning to handle it, I am very impressed with the quality of the images, now I just have to get better.
Have a good one!! and Happy New Year
