Happy New Year everyone. Just wondering if anyone has large prints, 11x14 and larger printed by labs or by home printers anymore for hanging on the wall? If so, do you send your file to the lab after LR or PS postwork - or do you rely on the lab's expertise? I love to see great photos printed large. Thanks for your replies.

I use Walgreens for all my printing large and small. They do a great job. They have printed several 20x30 and larger prints and they look great. I do my editing and then send it to them by email on their website. We are lucky enough to have 3 stores in our town. Have tried Walmart but was not happy with the results.

I have used Costco for Canvas Wraps and a local photo store (Shutterbug) in Sonoma County for prints, and have been happy with both. I always do my own pp before sending the files for printing, and I've almost always sent the highest res files possible.

Walgreens has improved. I am getting much better results now than a few years ago.

I don't really consider 11x14 as large,I have a few 24x32 hanging on my walls in my home and one 30x60 as well as a couple of large canvas pieces.

My studio has an array of different sizes and print styles.

I print several 24x36 images every week. Too expensive to send out so I print them at home for myself as well as many of my customers. I have 8 24x36 prints hanging all around the store for display and for sale.

I usually edit in LR then send to mpix.com. For color shots, I leave the files the way they are. For b/w I make sure I select their b/w process/paper.

Hey Mike, I am sure MT Shooter could meet your needs or you can go to Sam's Club and sit at the machine yourself and make the blow up. At least it is possible to do it here in the Denver area at the Sam's where I shop. The largest I have done is a 24 X 30 of a Red Tailed Hawk and it turned out great!!

I printed book covers 11.5 X 13 for a couple of authors, using a Canon 9900, but never a photo that large.

I can do up to 13 by 19 on my printer. Bigger than that I usually use Mpix

I have made very large prints...30X40, 24X36....etc...many of them...I have them hanging at home and my office.

I use AdoramaPix.com and I do my post in LR mostly...I don't let the lab adjust anything.

I'm not saying that they'd do a bad job...I just don't want to spend $20.00 to find out. :)

check out a 360 view of my office and what I have hanging there...sorry for my pug obsession...they are my favorite models...

I took a 12x18 and ran it through Onone's Perfect Resize and had it printed to 30x20 at Adorama pic's. The results were unbelievable. Extremely sharp, even viewing at one ft and absolutely no grain

I have used Nations Photo Lab with great results - they do the enlargements and mount the prints on 1/2-inch "gatorboard" which is lightweight but very tough and doesn't warp.
