Hi all ,I'm wabbag from Michigan .This is my first post so I hope I'm doing it correctly .Feel free to tell me the good ,bad and ugly I can only learn .Feel free to adjust the photos as you would your own .I'm a rank amateur and would like to hear your thoughts .Thank You .

A graduated ND filter would help out here. Let the lights come up while holding back the sky.

I think you did great. Better than I have done yet. I added a version with the sky darkened and bottom cropped. Makes the lights stand out better.

Thanks that looks much better .I uploaded two other photos but I guess they didn't go .I'm am just learning to use elements 12 so I can make some adjustments.

To come out of hiding, click on "my profile" at top of page. There will be a field for "location" :)

You can add more images to this post now, if you like, by clicking "reply" (don't use quick reply). Below the box for entering comments, you'll see an "add attachment" field.

For future new topics, you will have 3 spaces to upload shots (all at the same time) in the same manner in which your first came through this time. Don't click preview. Just make sure the file names all show up to the right of browse/choose file before you click upload.

Thank you Linda I had no clue .I have seen many of your photos on here your pictures are awesome .For some reason when I try to load 3 photos as below they don't get sent .Any sugestions

Feel free to correct as you would your own .I noticed I was on spot metering and should have been on matrix.Thanks for any imput good bad or ugly .

I have pretty minimal editing skills so can't really offer much in that area. I do suggest using a tripod and taking later at night and make sure the camera doesn't try to make the image too light.

Also, as for composition, you might consider shooting fewer of the lights, or standing closer to one in particular so that it dominates the frame while still including others in background. Try several different views and see what you like best.
