........................................and a larger oven. I remember my Mum buying a 26 pounder one year, we had to take the legs off for it to fit. Out of interest, being as Americans come from divers european backgrounds and eat turkey for Thanksgiving, what is YOUR family meal on the day. Italians I know tend to feast on christmas eve, and it's dependent on the area you're from. Portuguese people favour salt cod. C'mon spill.

That looks like one of those turkeys they breed now with breasts so large and heavy, the poor things can't even walk. What a travesty.

That's a riot!

"You need a bigger pan..." - love it Jay!

Cockney Greg: many Americans I know eat ham on Christmas, and others just do turkey again :)

We used to have Turkey, ham and all the fixings.
Several years ago, we switched to ham only (my family).
My family would meet Christmas Eve. Wife's family, meeting Christmas Day for brunch (breakfast and pie!).

This year we have traveled to California, pulling the rv.
Christmas Day, fast food for lunch and sandwich for supper.
Today, the 26th, is a rest day from driving.

Others may jump in and describe their day!!

These days my family and I get together Christmas eve for a dragon dance with the cymbals and everything. We're not Chinese but we love the food. Hope you had a great, if busy time Pat and all the best for 2014
