I'm brand new into the photography world, but I'm creative and fun so this is going to be fun! I was recommended over to this website by a few people. I just recieved a Canon T2i for my birthday and am up and ready to go! I am open to many suggestions and any tips anyone can send me! This site looks like it could get me into trouble, focusing on this rather than family stuff... oops! =)
Welcome aboard.
Read and understand the manual for your camera. Know what the controls do.
Try to get off of the Auto mode as quickly as you can.
Learn about light and exposure. "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson is a standard.
Think about composition. You will hear the "Rule of Thirds" a lot, but that is only one of several compositions. Look at art or graphic design books.
Anything you photograph has already been photographed many times before. Look for the unusual point of view.
And the most important tip of all: Have Fun
Welcome to the land of UHH addicted zombies.
Welcome...and rocco is right. This site is addicting and I'm beginning to suspect subliminals....
Hope you have a good time here and learn what you need.
