The language map is wrong. All the forms of English are Germanic in origin, with some Latin influence. They are not, however, Latin languages.

You're right; the maps are interesting. Let's just hope the rest are more accurate than the language one. I knew this because I studied history of the English language while getting my BA & MA degrees in English.
