It is Summer here in the southern hemisphere. Commiserations to all you freezing in the north.
Last Wednesday Night (18th Dec.) my Partner Pei Zhen, rushed into the house, "Quick get your camera, they are out!".
There were three Queen of the Night Blooms open (and another two ready to open the next night (Thursday).
We put the backyard Flood Light on and tried to get some decent pictures.
These picture are straight from my camera which is a
Olympus OM-D E-M5.

Thank you for your comment. Quite true! I tried a long exposure and don't really know what I'm doing yet. I might be able to do something with it later as I have it in RAW as well. I still have a lot to learn about this camera, (and cameras in general).

I think he would. They have a beautiful subtle perfume.
Beautiful pics. Congratulations from an Olympus fan.
Just wait another two months, your winter is coming too. Sure thing.

Great shots. The bloom is similar to a night blooming ceris(?). is it a succulant? What a gorgeous flower!
Hi Souk Ahras, Doddy, Colo43, Catinacabin and Ncshutterbug.
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes Sydney has a mild winter. I was in NY and Canada last Oct/Nov and it was getting as cold as our winters then!
It may be a night blooming Cereus. I thought it was a Dutchmans Pipe but that is completely different. The closest I could find on Google was Queen of the Night but the Cereus looks the same as well.
Probably different names for the same plant! yes it is a succulent.

Very interesting. I'd never heard of them.
