I decided to go with the KodakZ990. Not sure if I like it yet. Take a look at these pics straight from the camera, no pp.

Try a tripod and use the optical zoom to get a lil more "upclose and personal" with your critters. Hard to go wrong with the kodak P&S camera, I have 2 my wife has 2 and daughter has one in conjunction with 2 DSLR systems. They are great bang for the buck and are near bullet proof.
You have a good eye for composition, keep working and playing at it.

Look to be a good start with the new camera. My Kodak's in the past have ALL had very good color when I have the settings and white balance correct. Keep shooting and pay attention to keeping the camera steady and make sure you have proper lighting.
Your pictures are definitely on the right track. Look forward to seeing lots more from you.

Nice shots....I shoot with the Z981 sometimes and its a very dependable machine. Keep at it :thumbup:
