Erin, Welcome. Really good shots. Brian Peterson's Book recommended above is very good. when you can figure depth-of-field then you will improve the first shot to sharpen from the front of the cake to the back of the cake and leave the back ground fuzzy. It's a journey you are on enjoy the trip. povdov

Thanks... I got the book! but its under the christmas tree... i didn't even open it from the amazon box.. so i look forward to reading it!
