Okay I probably should have given a better title, but it's late or early depending on your glass.

I've decided to create a new thread as opposed to continuing the more general one. The question was asked about DSLR video, and wether or not it was considered professional. The simple answer is yes. As i'm away more than I'm home right now, I decided to give a few names that can easily be searched online.

This is a small sampling of some of the work being done strictly on DSLR. I can get into the process of DSLR Video if needed, and I have no problem answering questions as I have here before. Also, feel free to add to this if any of you are also using your cameras for more than just photography.

For now the list is essentially confined to shorts, with a couple of composited pieces, and stop motion thrown to taste.

If there is still interest, I can come back as soon as possible and post links to sites, or offer suggested reference books, etc. that you can get for free in the library.

With the advent of shows like House and Community making a large leap into DSLR Video, nearly everything seems to have a DSLR on set somewhere. About 60% of my work is film/video/broadcast/Score, 25% Advertising/Design/Photo Based, and 15% private commission Photo Composite/Painting.
I'll try to answer as much as possible, and post to it when I can with info and examples if it helps.

Yes, deeply interested in DSLR video. I volunteer as grip on indie videos, made by friends. Worked post on a big indie release, William S. Burroughs: A Man Within http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1466072/. Even got a few screen credits now!

I do whatever I can to become more creative and involved with photo and video. At 60, I am late to the game, but just helped my friends build out a new indie video editing studio in my building. Next dedicated green screens, sound room, and a new portrait studio in my unit. My condo is a live/work artist building where many of us collaborate with each other on no budget projects. We have fun!
