Old barn reprocessed final version and thanks.
This is to thank all those who proposed changes and made comments regarding the Old Barn.
This was a learning experience and I greatly appreciate that you took the time to respond.
This is the final version of the Old Barn Recomposed. Many responders offered observations and suggestions for improvement. While this is not a great photo due to some basic issues such as sharpness and composition, I have tried to address most of the proposed changes.
This is what I modified in this final version:
Modified from landscape to portrait mode in 4X3 ration and cropped right and left side.
Removed green branches on the left
Picked up the trash near the fence
Cleaned up the shed the best I could
Removed chromatic aberration 2 shades of blue. Good learning exercise
Increased contrast slightly
Made small adjustment on shade and color of the sky
Reframed for 8X10 print
I didnt modify the color of the grass as this was the month of April and yellow brown is closer to reality than green.
If your are inclined to provide a final comment, it will be appreciated.
Thanks again.

Thanks Db7423. The original was posted as ''Old Barn Reprocessed'' on Dec. 9th.
Old barn reprocessed original.
Well, I already said I like your rework and I do but after seeing the original I believe I would like it even better with the enhancements you made to the reworked version (excepting the crop and branches on the left). I like the frame the trees on the right and left provide- I like your original composition. So i'm saying I think you have TWO good photographs- well done! ;)
I think you improved it a lot! Very nice final result.

Thanks Db7423 I am also partial to the original with the enhancements.

Geolaval,
You did a nice job on your redo, but I honestly like the original you posted back on here. I believe there is much more being said in the photo, it has more depth, and more character, and tells a much greater in depth story. 😃
Sometimes I feel cropping a good shot takes out too much of what the original picture is conveying. Obviously this is my personal opinion and I do agree you have two very nice images - one just says more than the other. 👍

I like the new photo better excellent job
I like the original better. I think the green branches help to frame the barn and with them there you are seeing the whole barn. The trash along the fence line just highlights the disrepair of the building. Nobody cares enough to clean it up. What bothers me the most about both photos is the blur. I would rather see it in really crisp focus. Did you use some kind of action or filter on it in PP? Maybe it is just over processed I am not very good a picking out what was done, but some thing is making this appear smudged to me.

I agree....the original is a better composition. The patterns of snow are very important in this image. The cropped version takes that interest away. Nonetheless, good picture. You should be happy whichever version you choose.
