Hi everyone, my name is Greg and I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V and really like this camera. I look forward to learning how to leave the automatic mode and be more creative with the manual mode. I also look forward to interacting with this forum and sharing information.

go under "My profile" and look for the Avatar section. It should show you a browse button and you can load a photo there. DO NOT hit the preview button when you post ANY photos or it will erase them, just hit Send or finish or whatever it asks for

I went to the Avatar section, do not see the "browse" button and the "choose file" button was not available?

Go to "My Profile" in the choices on the Home Screen menu. Under the Avatar section it should say something like load avatar or create avatar. Click on that. You should then see a browse button with a window for your image identifier to be displayed in. Once you chhose an image and can see info in the window, there shold be a button for load or send. Mine looks different now 'cuz its there and it says "update avatar" so I'm remembering. Let me know how you make out.

No browse or create Avatar button, only Update Avatar and that of course is the wrong button. I think I just solved the mystery. I am currently on an iPad and not my computer. I bet that is the solution. I will have to check tat out.
