Please suggest a quality lens rental company. I have a Nikon D7000 and would like to rent an 18-300 Nikon lens. I'm in the New York area. Thanks for your help.

I'm confused. Your profile say 'mass, usa'
Your post say New York area.
New York is a big state. Do you mean metro NYC?

I've dealt with both BorrowLenses and Rentglass.
Good service, but the shipping can be a little much.

Adorama has a rental department and they're in the city.

Thanks, Wall-E - used to live in Mass, now on Long Island. Will look into your suggestions.

Lensprotogo as suggested has worked well for me also and they are located in MA, I believe in Concord, but ship everywhere at least domestically

I would consider other options before Lensprotogo based upon my experience dealing with them.

Lensprotogo. Use them for no hassle lens and equipment rentals. They are great, I rented a lens baby once. 20 minutes after placing the order they called me and gave me all kinds of pointers on how to best use the lens baby for the first time. ALS the equipment comes in pelican cases unlike borrow lenses who sends $3000 lenses in an old cardboard box and some foam packing.

Actually, I would find the Pelican case to be a downside. It's REAL heavy, and contributes unnecessarily to the shipping weight.
The 'foam packing' my gear was shipped in was exactly the same as is in a Pelican case. They just saved the weight.

Good point but if the total cost is the same I opt for pelican. All costs being equal what's the downside.

In shipping, weight is money.

Without seeing a comparison of the total cost for the same gear for the same period to the same address, I can't make a judgement on that.
