The best group I belong to is the local affiliate of the PPA.
Yes, it's a couple of hundred a year, but for that, I get 8-10 monthly meetings with teaching sessions at most, and print critiques twice a year with PPA certified judges. And for nominal sums ($39), day long sessions with national instructors about 4 times a year. We just had Lindsay Adler (
) for both a day long, and at the monthly meeting the next night.
