Canon flash attachments can be pretty pricey. There are many other brands that are more competitively priced. Is it really worth the additional price to go with the Canon brand? If not, what other flash equipment would members recommend for use on Canon 6D and T2i cameras?
I always used Vivitar 283's from film days. easy to use, just twist a knob on the front for more or less power. but you can't use those on a digital camera. So i bought a Canon 580EXII. I just figure that if its going to be attached to my camera I want the one the camera manufacturer made for it. For flash units not attached to the camera I use the old Vivitar283's with pocket wizards, and you can get them on ebay for about $15.00.and they work great in a soft box or umbrella too.
if you buy a vertical grip buy the canon. I hear too many complaints about off brands.
