This camera was inspected by Camera Care Center, the premiere repair center in Houston, TX, and pronounced "excellent." Information: Camera Body SN#4118507; Lens (SMC Pentax 67 1:2.4 105mm) SN#8709162; Metered Prism SN#574737. For those not familiar with this equipment, this is a medium-format 120/220 film camera. I believe the overall condition is equal to KEH E+. For photos, go to recent past topics in UHH. I have reduced the price again to $725 and I will pay postage and insurance. Please PM me with any questions, or to make a realistic offer. Thanks, Mercer

Not many people shoot film. Lower the price.

I know that's good advice, cthahn, and I appreciate it. It's very difficult to turn loose of a real camera like this one. by the way, are you making an offer? :-D Mercer

i know the feling, i had a 6x7 for almost 20 years, had the 90 leafshutter lens, 150mm 45 mm, 400mm and ended up only getting 900, unfortunately no one seems ot want the hassle of film anymore, i still love shooting b^w with my old view camera tho, and will probably never give that part up, good luck on the sale

Many thanks, Melvin. The $775 offer to sell is based on KEH ratings: body $300, lens $325 and metered prism $150. I suppose I will further reduce it to $675 then maybe give up for a while if it doesn't sell. I think it's a reasonable amount for this prime camera, for anyone interested in medium format film. The only 6x7 I'd rather have is a Hasselblad, because of the variety of backs available. If the Pentax doesn't sell soon, I will keep it and run an occasional roll of 220 color for those rare and special opportunities that come along from time to time. During the 1950's I had a Busch Press... great 4x5, aluminum or magnesium body, shuttered lenses, swing/tilt/rising lensboard and tilt film holder, triple extension bellows... and I loved it. Shot 4x5 sheet through it.

find you some nice slow b&w fiilm and shoot it, much better than digital b&w, at least in my opinion

Hi Melvin... and I agree about film's quality. Digital cannot touch the smooth, flawless transitions of shade and tone. Each has something the other doesn't.
