I often take shots of old buildings and architectural details. Sometimes I'm divided over using a sepia, B&W, or a more natural color. Here's 2 different approaches. Any opinions?

There are hundreds of variables - and often it comes down to a subjective, personal bias. With your permission I would like to try a couple of more on you - if you allow me to use your images. I've decided not to edit any with ot an okay from the owner. As to your images I believe the top one is too strong of coloring and the bottom lacks proper saturtation, plus has a blue tint. Just me, not all will agree.
No problem and I think you are correct about the blue tint.
Here are three - that I would not ever say are better; just different. A ongoing debate when one edits their pictures is at what point has it crossed from photography into the world of the abstract. Myself - I don't concern much with that, I just kinda of like messing with them for my own enjoyment. I ramble - enjoy the day.
Failed to mention - I'm guessing your white balance was set incorrectly is the reason for the blue tint. I do it a lot - just got back from Washington DC with several pictures of The Blue House.
I like the bottom 2 the best. You are correct on the white balance. It was one of those days with constant change from cloudy to sunny and I never checked it before I took the shot. Another good reason to shoot in RAW format.
