LR5 and CC install

Took the jump, and I already have LR5. Installed PSCC and all went well. My question is do I need to uninstall my copy of LR5, then install the CC LR5? I have mixed answers from several experts, some say yes, some say no. Does anyone have any actual experience with this particular situation?
Thanks.

I am the same. Own LR 5 and just signed up for CC. I did not install the CC version of LR, only photoshop. I will install the CC version of LR when a newer better version is released. I do not want to overwrite my purchased copy and the CC version offers no benefit yet since it's the same. The installer can be accessed at any time. I was told that don't have to uninstall anything for any of the apps. Photoshop CC install left my two prior versions as is and they still work fine.

My perception of it when I installed was that their system recognized my LR installation and simply registered it. It didn't take long for the LR installation to complete.

Unlike the PS installations, where, when finished, I had PS CC and PS CS6 installed, there remained only one LR installation after it completed.

So, Bruce Wells, If I decide to cancel the subscription in a year, my PS6 will work but what about my LR5? I have until midnight to decide.

I asked Adobe that very thing. I purchased LR5 on cd and then the cloud with PS.

I can continue to use LR5 after I quit but it will revert back to what ever the highest version of 5 is that was available at that time, with no interruption. Any other cloud software will quit. I was told that when LR moves about 5x there will then be 2 installs on the computer (1 for LR5 and the second for the newer version but the LR5 icon will move to the lr folder and off of the desktop). His explanation not mine.. lol
