This is one sweet deal I just took advantage of. Going to give the camera and lens to my daughter, and keep the printer for myself. Merry Christmas to Me!

Good deal, but be very careful filling out the rebate form. One tiny mistake and they will deny the rebate. That is what they hope for.

Thank you for the information. This is the first time I have done the rebate thing, so I'll be extra careful.

Also make a copy of your form with the bar code stapled to the form if you can

$799 for all that is an amazing deal!

I bought one of those printers on a rebate.

The tricky part of the rebate is enclosing the actual UPC from the box. You have to cut it out of the box, not try to peel it off. You have to make a complete hole in the box.

if it is that picky to get a rebate . I would tend to tell canon to shove the
whole deal . and go elsewhere with my cash.

Now after some of the responses, I'm kinda having second thoughts on this. I didn't think it would get this complicated.
I just figured I would send in the paperwork and get a good deal. Sheesh.....

I've done the rebate thing twice now and have never been stuck. The comment on the bar code cut out is a valid one though. Also take pictures of the code while still on the box and your form after it's completed. The money won't come to you instantly. Give it time. The rebates are handled by a separate company and not by Canon.

Thanks, I'll just be very careful, making sure all forms and conditions are met, then be patient! :-)

The biggest problem I have found with rebate offers is, sometimes they insist on the store filling out the papers too - there has to be a store stamp or something. If you get something online, that often doesn't get done...

With the reputation of B&H, I would not expect you to have any problems. If I had the money, I would be really tempted myself...

I've done 4 or 5 rebates and never from a store and always online like B&H etc, never a problem
