To those of you who have a permit to carry a concealed weapon I’m curious to know what your preferred method of carrying is? What type of holster or holsters do you prefer and why?

For me it depends on where I plan on going and how long it will be before returning home.
Sometimes I use a shoulder holster with a 9mm Browning pistol, But most of the time I carry a 2-1/2 inch barrel revolver because it is light comfortable to carry and easy to conceal.
The revolver can be wore on the belt and covered with shirt tail or if it is hot and I have a T shirt that will not hide it I have a holster that straps to the calf of my leg pants cover it no one ever knows I have it.

depends on the weather. living in florida you can't wear overcoats very often....so frequently I use an inside the pants or pocket holster with a small frame revolver or semi-auto. If I'm walking the beach late at night I sometimes use a shoulder holster with a light jacket over it and carry a 9mm or 45 acp semi-auto pistol. You have to be careful not to use a rig that "prints" through the clothing and you also have to be sure the firearm remains totally concealed from view the whole time. Needless to say it's also important that the gun stays in the holster and doesn't fall out when you bend over to sit or get into a vehicle.

I carry a Ruger LCP, holstered in my back pocket. Looks like a wallet when you look at my pocket. Sometimes carry a 9mm inside the waistband, in a Bulldog case or a 10MM outside the waistband under a coat, also in a Bulldog.

I have a 380 that fit in my pocket but my youngest daughter that has her CC adopted it so I have to carry my Taurus 24/7 45 ACP in a leather holster on the small of my back. Would like to get a shoulder holster for it. Open carry would be so much easier!

Carry a KAHR p380 in a sneaky pete holster. Looks like a cell phone holder.

Not one to carry in a holster as they are an expected and some time bulky item.
My life saving method was a .32 auto tucked into my waist band in my back.
The other ones that have dissuaded a couple bad ass guys was my hand gripping the gun in my coat pocket, no quick draw - just a hole on the pocket to sew up if needed, while backing into a store front with a determined look in my eye.
Big guns and large clips are not always necessary.

I usually carry using a Badger Tactical rig which works great inside my overalls I wear around the farm. When I'm not in the mood to carry on my person, I keep my pistols in a "tankers bag" or purse, no apologies.

Yes, Diana and there are also bra holsters lol for those times when you don't carry a purse. Of course the men will not be interested in these... I hope ;)
Here is a question I have been contemplating, If you carry concealed, say under a jacket but the jacket blows open in the wind, and allows the weapon to become visible, would it then be considered open carry. The laws in Ohio can be so vague, even my police friends say they are so open to interpretation.

I'm glad my wife never carried a gun in her purse...she'd never find it in all the stuff that was in there.
