I have used search but cannot find answers to some of my questions. Please enlighten me in regards to:
1. Can you back button focus on this camera.
2. Can you down load card into Light Room (Mac).
3. Can you purchase a manual already printed from some company that does manuals.
4. I understand that you can purchase a "cheat sheet" and will it suffice as a manual.
Thanks for you help.

1. No
2. I haven't done it so don't know
3. I have mine from Manuals Ink
4. I don't think you need to "cheat" on the Manual so go for it.

3. Someone on UHH ordered from a company whose name I can't recall. But here are a bunch of suggestions for printing:

1- NO
2- You should be able to connect the camera direct to computer and let LightRoom import from that drive/folder, or take the card out of the camera and use a card reader to do it. Should also be able to use an EyeFi card for direct transfer if you want to.
3- Yes, or just take the PDF file from the CD to a local printer and have it printed the way you want it.

On Back Button Focusing--not exactly, but sort of.

Press the shutter button half way. Then, while still holding it press the left arrow button at the same time. This switches to Manual focus, locking in the focus you just achieved automatically. (It's equivalent to achieving auto-focus with a dSLR and then switching the lens from AF to MF.) If you want, you can tweak the focus with the up and down arrow buttons or with the rear dial. The camera will hold that Manual focus for successive shots. Press the left arrow button again and toggle back to Normal mode afterward. Warning that if you go into Review mode to look at photos, the camera reverts to Normal and your manual focus no longer locked in.

Wish I had known about this site before I had mine printed - Staples charged me $35, although this is full-size.
I don't understand why anyone would buy the pdf file from them, however. That can be downloaded free from Canon. I downloaded mine before I ever ordered the camera, so I could check it out.

But the downloaded one has "COPY" watermark on the pages and the one on the CD doesn't!

I find the cheat sheets very useful AFTER you have gone through the manual and have some understanding of all the modes and buttons. It is very well arranged and can act and a quick reference to settings.

You make an important point here. Page 284 of the manual which I downloaded from Canon says that, "reprinting, transmittal or storage in a retrieval system any part of this guide without the permission of Canon is prohibited." This means that my saving the guide to my iPad, printing by Staples or my sending the file to another member would be prohibited. Manuals Ink claims they have a right to print the manuals. I believe that, if a file is offered for download, I have a right to store that file as long as I do not profit by such storage. Nowhere in the file do I find the copyright symbol or word as part of any claim by Canon to the copyright of the manual. In the USA, they don't have to mark their publications as copyrighted, but, as in other cases, their recovery of damages is hindered by their failure to do so. I can only wonder as to the legality of copies offered for sale on eBay.
