I decided to get out my Gossen Super Pilot yesterday and compare the reading with that of my Canon EOS 50D at ISO 100. I achieved identical reading on both in the same light.
Many young digital photographers have probably never used a handheld light meter. I bought the Super Pilot in 1968 and it served me well through the Yashica 635 TLR, The Kowa Six, and two Mamiya 645's. I even used it with my Mamiya/Secor 1000 DTL even though it had a built in meter. The Super Pilot always gave me a more accurate reading.
The meter and the leather case look the same as the day I bought it 45 years ago.
A nice trip down memory lane.
I have one of those. too! The meter and the leather case does look the same as the day I bought mine, it still works!
I wonder how many more are still out there.
I had/have one. No idea what I ever did with it?
Mine is a Weston Master V.

COOL!!
Kids these days wouldn't even know how to turn a light meter on, much less USE one! ;)
I had a Weston that looked, as best as I can remember, exactly like this. Wish I still had it. ;)
Mine is in a hard plastic case...
I had one too...
Like may other things, I have no clue as to what happened to it...
Mine sits in open view on a shelf in my home office with my Nikon FM2 and several lenses. I see it every time I walk through the door--just good to remember.

I have both a Gossen Luna Pro and a Luna Pro SBC. The SBC uses standard 9v batteries and correlates well with the meters on my Canon EOS and Konica film cameras. I use it frequently as my Mamiya RB67 does not have a meter. The older Luna Pro seems to be a bit off, one of these days I'll have it recalibrated.

I don't know where mine went, it did die, had the spot meter attachment too, went back to the gossen selenium cell meter and the Sekonic Auto Lumi, can't remember the model name of Gossen's selenium meter just now,
Bob.
