I think its awesome. Very well exposed. Composed beautifully with horizon and boat placement visually engaging. Sky and water convey the mood of the day. Yep...awesome!

Subtly done and very beautiful. The only thing that struck me as out of place is seeing heavy gray overcast with sparkles on the water. I think of sparkles as being from direct sunlight.

I think it works very well. You kept the color toned down so it's just right. Very nice photo, I think it has a lot of impact and I like the composition.

Hey, Emm5,

You did real good! Terriffic Sky!

Less is more! you prove it to a "T" !

you need less water under the boat, so...

My only rec. is to crop 1/3 of the way up from bottom to bottom of boat to bring it all into R.O.Thirds compliance...it really does work!

Wish his image had been on MY SDcard.

Dave in SD... (SD? that's probably why it wasn't on my SD card...?)

Thank you, I was originally going to do it in b/w but the boat got lost so
Thought the desaturated version worked better.

Thanks Linda , that's one reason I wasn't sure if it worked do to the sparkles on the water.
When the day started there were big clouds like in my previous shot of leaving it all behind but within a couple of hours they started to fill the sky and get dark but there were still breaks in the clouds allowing the sun to come through really strong.
I could tone down the sparkles .

If this were to be printed in a large format I feel the Statue of Liberty should be removed, it appears to be on the deck of the boat and out of place. Other than that I love the picture.

As masterful a piece of desaturation as I have viewed to date. Download mode definitely recommended. I think the sun glints are attractive as is, but I would soften the skies. I once got a useful effect just by selecting clouds and running a de-noising progam.
