This is a bogus thread. Any camera at $999 will have decent glass. if you can't take a decent pic with decent glass it is all on you. End of story! If you are talking about cheap cameras then this theme has some legs. back in the day the Argus c3 aka "The Brick" Qualified for a theme or article like this. A unpretentious camera and design had a quality lens that made other more expensive blush. Today I doubt this kind of article at this price range has any valid consideration. JB

Removed the back from my dad's C3 and it became the core of my first enlarger; not a bad little lens.
