I recently downloaded the "Adjust" program from Topaz and using it on my MacBook Pro. Works fine but in trying to save it requests a number. My account shows 2 numbers and looks as if I downloaded trial samples of their entire bundle of programs twice and neither number works. I've just emailed them about the problem and waiting for a reply. In the meantime I checked out some reviews which indicate problems with the ID numbers and a big lack of response from the company.
Anyone else have these issues?
Also, can anyone recommend similar software that provides better service? Topaz doesn't even display a contact number on their main site.

I had the same issue and never did get the trial version to save. I then paid for Adjust, and they emailed me a registration number and that didn't work either. I contacted them by email via the contact info listed on their website. They responded in a couple of days and told me to cut and paste the number they had emailed to me, leaving no extra spaces at the beginning. I did that, and it worked.

My experience with Topaz customer service has been wonderful. They do have their contact number on their site but don't have it where you might easily find it. Alas I had to search for it each time I wanted to find it. When I did they were very helpful. They also respond well to emails and chat.

Hi JohninRockville, have you purchased Topaz Adjust or is it just the trial version you are wanting to try. Either way simply uninstall the original downloads (? Bundles) and download the single Topaz Adjust file from here:-
http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads
I hope this helps.

I have the entire package, started with adjust and got hooked about 5 years ago. Then bought rest of bundle and since each new one that came along.

I have had no problems with customer service, but used that little and some time ago.

I have had problems in the past with cut/paste S# of programs caused by a space before the first number. Now if there is a problem I back space before the first number. See same comment from Heirloom Tomato above. Also some programs require rebooting before use when a S# is added. Also, try removing the program and reinstalling.

If you signup for a webinar and miss it you recieve a "sorry you messed e mail" which will have the discount codes for 30% on any program. Often the feature program of the month will be 50% off.

Do hang in there and try reloading, try rebooting, do not spend much time with a photo til you get the problem solved. Simple advice from a PC guy to a Mac guy...

JohninRockville did you ever stop to think that there is a big hat with many names in it and your was just drawn and hat is labeled "have install Topaz Problems" rather than win a free Topaz for watching a Webinar.

I think the S# problem that Heritage Tomato and I pointed out is the "Key" to your problem (no pun intended). The following Mac/Apple article discusses the pre-Number space and also mentions logging in as admin is necessary for some installations.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2005

I empathize and sympathize with your problem, I have experienced it multi times, especially with the more complicated installations with the free for a day programs from giveaway-of-the-day programs. Some are really worth while and they are normally expensive but given away for 24 hrs thru that sight. Subscription to the site and the programs offered are free.

  good support, great little software package. Never cut and pasted though I just copied it and re-typed the S N. when I cut and paste I often pick up unwanted spaces. That's just me

"That's just me" ... Nope, you and many millions of S# cut and paste people.

I also forgot to add, having used their Customer Suport just the once, I found them absolutely brilliant.

OK - I have managed to purchase Adjust and Detail - have Adjust working just fine - haven't downloaded the other as yet.
On the downside, I guess I'm going to have to purchase a PC version of the same, as I have a thousand or so pictures on an older Dell desktop going back 8 years and expect there are many pictures I'd like to rework.

If I recall correctly you can have your Topaz on two computers as in my lap top and my desk top. Contact Topaz and see if that is correct and ask if the same works for your Mac and your PC.

But Mac uses JPEG and Raw just as PC? Right? So, if that is the case you just need to transfer with a stick drive, jump drive or what ever you name them.. 16 Gig holds a lot of older photos. The old photos are best deNoised (topaz) and then upsized with
www.faststone.org

Resize faststone if an excellent freeware, use bicubic; slower but better.

http://www.topazlabs.com/webinars/ is the site for signing up for webinars. Remember the discounts.

I use and like the Topaz plug-ins with Photoshop Elements on my Macbook. Started with the trial versions of them and then purchased the ones I like. I have Adjust, Simplify, and Detail. As for the PC, I would transfer the photos to the Mac so that you can do all editing on one machine. You could do that by saving to an external hard drive (the one you use to backup your photos).
