I am moving from lurker to participant. I have been watching these pages for many months and have learned quite a bit from many of you. I started with photography in 1960, when my father bought me a Kodak Signet 35. I graduated from the Kodak to numerous variations of Canons, the last one being a New F1 purchased in 1986. During this time photography was an on and off endeavor, depending upon work and family situations.
In 1998, I bought a Kodak 3MP digital camera. This was followed by a Nikon D70, Nikon D90, and Nikon D600. The Kodak went to a family member, but I still have all the Nikon cameras, a bunch of retired DX lenses, and a few prime and zoom FX lenses. With digital, I have found my need for instant gratification is rewarded and I have become way more invested in all aspects of photography than I ever was with film. Being semi-retired has helped too.
I know I will continue learning from you, and hope I may be able to contribute a little myself in the future.
