He was in my work zone so I grabbed my camera and started shootin' him. He is quite harmless!

I like the second shot. It looks like he's peeking at you. All three shots are good.

What was the actual length of the beastie? I see an occasional green grass snake here in Maine, maybe a foot long and perfectly harmless like yours but they don't climb trees, at least not that I've seen.

He was about 2 1/2 to 3 ft long. I tried to pull him off the branches, but he was like stuck on them. Amazing how they cling. I have photos of a black rat snake climbing a tree. It was awesome. He climbed all the way to the top.
