All beautiful shots, but I particularly like the Wood Stork. To my knowledge, we don't have those around here.

Thanks so much for looking and for your kind comment, cogerox, really appreciate it. At the present the Wood Stork can be found in Mexico, Central and South America, with Florida, Georgia and S. Carolina having a small breeding population. The wood stork is the only stork that breeds in North America. We are lucky to see them in Florida in the fall and winter months, after the rainy season. They are endangered in Fl, but have had success in Georgia and S. Carolina, we have lost nesting areas and the water levels have been too high for them.

They get better and better! Another superb set. Love the juvie stork. Looks like the Great Egret means business, while the stork is just moseying along, enjoying the day, lol.

Thanks so much Treepusher, always appreciate your looking and very kind comment, so glad you enjoyed. You are right, the egret is up and flying in an instant with a direction in mind, the stork is gangly and takes a long time to get airborne and is then just happy to be flying.
