These Bald Eagles were shot in December/2012.
The Bald Eagles migrate south out of Canada each year and stop to feed on spawning Salmon at Lake Coeur d' Alene from late November to early January. As many as 150-250 Eagles can be spotted in one day, especially in December. Many professional photographers, with their expensive cameras and lenses will be photographing these beautiful birds.
Unusual to see a pair of Eagles together feeding on Salmon.
The Eagle has a nice pose while waiting for his dinner to appear.
A young immature Bald Eagle.
I love the composition of #2. The picture is filled nicely with the bird and the branches and the bird is looking the right way. How much did you have to bribe the eagle? LOL
1 and 2 are fabulous. Pine trees are a photogenic perch for these birds. Just stunning!

Thank you for looking. The NE part of Coeur d' Alene Lake is a real hot spot of Bald Eagle activity in this area.

Thank you. It is very rare to have 2 adult Bald Eagles side by side and both feeding on Salmon because they like their space when eating. This is the photo I have with this situation.
Thanks for sharing regis. I especially like #1. One standing guard while the other one is eating.
These look different than the eagles in our area? Thanks for sharing. Bee

Thank you for looking. Most of these Bald Eagles fly out of northern Canada but we have some year-round residents here.
