Some honest criticism would be appreciated
I have no criticism. These are good photos, but , I'd like to view them in 'download' where they would be even better.
Pierre
I like the second one but the white glare on the guitar is a little distracting and would like to have seen her eyes, but nicely done. The first is more about the background than the young lady. If she was a little less broad to the camera, it would flatter her full figure more. All-in-all well done. And she is one interesting young lady. ;-)
Honest criticism? These look like kitsch I'd pass over at a flea market. Focus on the content of your photos instead of gaudy editing.

You want CC please store original, otherwise really cannot see the detail. First look is nice.
Second one in b/w would have been much nicer IMO. Would have created a much nicer mood. Not really sure where you are going with the blue hue here. Composition is nice.
The first one belongs in the recycle bin on your desktop. The background you dropped in, is very distracting, and the photo of her is lost in all that mess. She also appears to be slouching a bit.
its what my client wanted grandpa
That doesn't change anything
Ive had clients ask for that kind of "digital Treatment" or "cool effects" and I kindly refuse. You know how many of them packed up and left?
None.
Sometimes we, as not only experts of our craft, but sales people as well, have to lead our clients away from bad choices. I really hope shes not going to use these for any sort of music promotion.
Dont ask for crits if your gonna pack your toys away and go home because someone thinks your work is crap.
I'm not packing up and going anywhere. but when someone uses words like bullshit, crap and turd then I'm not wasting time with them. I don't let my kids or grandkids talk like that.
These were part of a series we did. Most were what you would consider standard studio shots using different backgrounds. These two are how she described what she wanted, probably to hang on her wall at home.
Sounds like you and your client have bad taste. This is just bottom of the barrel Craigslist budget photographer trash.
You have a right to your opinion, but what pays the bills...pays the bills
I would be interested to see some of your studio work grandpa
