Hi you all thank you for this amazing site. Full of talent I can see in the beautiful photographs. I am looking for a Nikon or Canon that is the best value with the cheaper end of the higher end. To clarify this I have heard their is a camera in all professional camera's around 6,000 that costs considerably less then that but similar in features?
I am referring to a digital SLR CAMERA? A good suggestion of older used ones I might find would be helpful as well. Thanks

Welcome. Nice photos. I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for. I have a Nikon D7000 that I am very pleased with. It is the cropped sensor APS-C. There is a newer version of that camera called the 7100. You can get some good deals on Adorama or B&Hphoto.

Look at the Nikon D800, you cannot beat its image quality at any price!

Britt welcome. If people knew what your budget was that would be a great help in being able to give advice. Are you also looking for lense(s) and if so do you know which one(s)? Are they included in your budget or are they a separate cost?

My advice would be, whatever advice you get here, make sure you go to a camera shop and see how they feel in YOUR hands. Never buy a camera purely on the recommendation of someone. For instance I have hands like spades, yours may be small, what feels comfortable in my hands may feel like a large brick in yours.

Good luck.
