Happy Holidays from JimH and the local electric utility...

My BIL goes all out now that he's in residence here. Last year I had a 3' string of red LEDs hanging out one window...

The bottom pic is what happens when you walk away after starting a 20 second exposure, and your tripod head is just a little bit loose... I figured ~Tilde~ and others might groove on it..

Looks great Jim.... About 1000 times more than I did this year... Merry Christmas to you and yours too. Tilde should like the second one.

#2 definitely shows that not all accidents turn out bad, cool look. Well decorated for the season, have a very merry Christmas. Hope you were good enough for Santa to stop by.

Moving the camera up or down (or sideways) during an exposure is actually a valid technique. I have seen some very cool images when tilting the camera in images of skyscrapers, both lit and unlit.

One can make fun images with a slow flash (set to go off after the image has been recorded) in a portrait by spinning (turning) the camera in a circle while the shutter is open. Then flash fires to give a crisp image at the end.
