Hi, everyone!!! :) I am a "newbie" to this site, too, and pretty much a self-taught photographer. My favorite things that I like to shoot are scenics and children, but I shoot other things as well. Last year, I purchased a Canon Rebel XS, complete with a 300mm zoom lens... and I spend as much time as I can finding things to shoot! I am married, with 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

congrats, you sound like you are in my age group. If your local senior citizen chapter has a photo club join it, you will learn a lot & meet great people.
