Wife and I took the 6-year old granddaughter into CCP for the annual pilgrimage to Macy's "Dickens Village" and to see the Christmas show at the Comcast Center. The CC show is displayed on a huge LED video screen in their lobby. First time I've been in this new building. I think it's Philly's tallest at around 60 stories. I took some of the usual "touristy" shots outside and a few during the show. Since it's the only free thing you'll ever get from Comcast, we thought we'd take advantage..
The Philly skyline has changed tremendously in the last 30 or so years - when I worked downtown there, Billy Penn's statue was still the tallest structure in town, via an old "gentleman's agreement" that developers followed. Then around 84-85 a building went up just off City Hall that topped at 35 stories, and the race was on. Some people don't like it, but it does make Philly look a little more modern now. There are probably 10-15 'scrapers now that exceed 30 stories.

I too enjoy buildings and the sights in the cites. While many can be rather bland there is often at least some thing that is unique. Nice pictures. I have added three from a different location - at least one is very well known.
Funny- I was in Chicago this summer and I took many pictures reflecting off of "the bean". Lots of creative photographic opportumities when you have a surface that is that refelctive and the city skyline in the background.
