Will someone please tell me why there is not one full frame camera that has an articulated screen. There is one on my Power Shot G12 and I find it so useful.

The new Alpha models from Sony (they are full frame) have articulated screens.

Good question. I wish my 6D had one. Very useful. At first I thought it was just another moving part to break, but I think their usefulness outweighs this potential.

Is your question actually about a 'full frame' camera?
Or really about a 'full size DSLR'?

I must admit I also felt that Nikon had missed a trick by not putting an articulated screen on the D800. Particularly as I sometimes use a Canon G12 and find the screen so useful. (Getting used to paralax error again, with the viewfinder is a whole new game) On thinking about it though, most of the situations where it would be useful are more than covered by using a tethered set-up. So why add something more to go wrong ?

When looking for a new camera, not having an articulating screen is a deal breaker. (I look a lot and seldom buy.) Though, Canon and Nikon full frame cameras are not on my wish list. My G11 has one and would not be without it. My Evolt 510 does not have one and it seldom gets used.

Very true. i thought the same about the touch screen but that has proved to be very useful and I would miss it if it were gone.
