OK!! I feel like a dummy now.
I have been wanting to send some pic to the Hog from picasa, but when I go to the file to pull the picture down to send,I never see pic as a as an option, just the my pictures option. What am I missing here?
I have put off asking this question quite frankly I guess because of pride.
Please help this humbled photo guy if you will.
Thank you in advance folks.

I don't know a thing about Picasa - can you download a photo from Picasa to your desktop and then from there to the UHH forum?

You can "export" from Picasa to a folder in "my pictures", then from there to UHH..
Picasa is a good program, but it basically can take "over" you computer and is a real PIA...

Hmmmm. I have been using {ICASA for several years with few if any problems. I sent one pic into piacasa, following their directions Exactly.
Of course you must be able to read and follow directions :-)

It's good to know someone who can follow directions.
You would be very popular in my karate class.
That being said is their a "direct link" I can post from without going through the select file process?
I send pic everywhere but to the Hog from Picasa.
So please enlighten me.

When I do a reunion some 1200 pic's, I use Picasa, I "Sync to Web" on the right side screen about four bars down, you will see it. Make sure you have that Directory Selection. Then just press the Sync. After it's doen just click on go to the Web Album and you should be directed there. Copy the address on to your clip board and paste it in an Email. Make sure you have made the Album Public.

Here is one of my Links.

Picasa will save a file as an xcf .....you have to export it to a file on your computer, turn it into a jpg, png, gif, then it will post. You might send a PM to William and ask him about it. He's been working with Picasa a lot longer than the rest of us and knows lots more about it.

After you've either imported the pictures from your camera/card or downloaded from the web, you will see an icon that looks like a floppy disk. Click on that and it will save to your documents, plus make a back up of your originals. You can then find them in your document file - or location you've requested.

No. The ONLY things you can do directly from Picasa are email and post to PicasaWebAlbums (Google+)
So, you must be emailing, not uploading.

To upload, while in Picasa, find the image you want to post on UHH. Right click on the folder and select "locate on disk". When that box opens, you can see where the image is located in the address bar. Make a note of that. On the post message page of UHH, click 'Choose File'. Navigate to the folder address you just noted, and click the image you want to upload. That should return you to the message compose page and you can see the file name of your image next to the 'Choose File' button. Tick the 'store original' box to allow us to see the full size image and all the EXIF information.
Finish writing your post and click 'Send'. DO NOT click 'Preview' or you will have to start over.
This is the procedure I have used to post this pic.

PS: This will ONLY post an UNEDITED version of your pic.
To get the edits, you'll have to EXPORT the image to another folder.

Picasa is a FREE program, first released in 2002, and which is compatible with both Windows and Mac. Picasa allows you to organize and edit your photos as well as sync them with an integrated photo-sharing website. In this way, Picasa is similar to Elements as this program also allows you to organize/edit your photos and sync/share them via Adobe Revel (which replaced photoshop.com available in some of the earlier versions).

I have a folder on the desktop, 'UHH uploads' which I use to export from Picasa to post to UHH. I usually add the pixel resize to the tittle (800, 1200, etc,). It is faster/easier to find than in 'my picture'.
