I have been using box cameras to take photos of things of interest in the little town where I live. This was taken with a Montgomery Ward box camera which was nothing more than a rebranded German Bilora box camera. I have a lot of fun playing around with my collection of box cameras. For such simple mechanisms they produce very nice photos.

My parents had a couple of box cameras that I remember playing with as toys after something more sophisticated had replaced them. I think many of the old family photos were done with these for a time and the images were quite acceptable. You've gotten a good one here. It's fun to see this knowing how it was produced.

I think most families had a box camera. They were relatively easy to use and inexpensive. From the research I have done surprisingly for the times it was usually the lady of the house that took the photos. Thank you for looking and commenting.

No I don't. I would love to but years ago I ran into problems with an allergy to the chemicals used. I send it to a place in California called The Darkroom for developing and they scan the negatives. Thank you for looking.
