Thanks for sharing. I have the D600, which Rockwell mentions at the bottom of this synopsis, is a still a comparatively better buy ... and I absolutely love mine! I've learned how to clean my sensor with the CopperHIll system, and can do so in less than five minutes. I'm sure they've fixed the oil spot dilemma with the D610, so if someone is thinking about this camera, get it. I'm getting incredible photos with its older sister!
You should expect any new D600s now discounted to $1700 to have the school solution for the oil spots already installed into the D600 body ... At this reduced priced, it's a rare opportunity to take advantage of Nikon's mistake to push forward the originally flawed D600 ...
I agree with everyone, the 600 is a great camera despite nikons goof. I also read everything Ken writes before I make any camera or lens decision. I find his articles very straightforward and helpful.
