Hello from PA...
Hi, my name is Vicki. I found UHH a month ago while recuperating from surgery. It was a JOY to find you all. I had to take it easy, couldn't work, couldn't run around with my camera, but I could check out all of your topics and photos while taking it easy. I have had a passion for photography for 30 years. I am certainly an amateur compared to what I've seen on here. You all have shared such amazing photos. I aspire to be like you. For the last few weeks I have only been able to do some photo shoots of couples, a wedding and my precious three little grandchildren. Again, thanks to all of you wonderful photographers for your advice and expertise!
Hope you feel better, GOOD people pictures.

You certainly have an "eye" for people. The fill flash on #1 is nice. The posing is good especially with the two laying in the leaves. The bride is well lighted but I kept looking for a more dramatic background. Keep shooting, you do it well

Thanks A10 for your comments. I really appreciate it. As far as the bride's background, as an amateur I was challenged by having to take some photos of her in a church room they had ready for her ... A nursery. It was awful. It was all nursery colors with nursery paraphernalia all over. I will be vignetting some of the backgrounds. Do you have any suggestion for me other than that? I am new to lightroom 3. So If there are wonderful tricks available there, I don't know the software well enough yet. Thanks so much for your thoughts on this.

Vicspics,
I have shot in a lot of nurseries and they are truely awful for bridal photos. Given the circumstances you really pulled it out of the hat. You can also take a muslin backdrop attached to a 1"x1" board with a hole drilled "dead" center in the board and hold it up with one medium to large light stand. It is quick, easy, and portable.
Thanks, A10, for the tip. Also, I'm glad someone could relate to the nursery dilemma. I guess "misery does live company." 😉
LOVE company ... Not live! I'm a court stenographer. I can't help myself as far as typos!
I think your doing just great keep shooting and you will get better.
