I had gone out to get the mail and sitting a broken reflector was this dragonfly, so I asked it to wait while I went into the house to get my camera and it did. I have seen them flying about the yard but never caught one sitting, not exactly still either. Hope you like them

This is a beautiful dragonfly. I've never seen one quite like it. You did a great job of catching a small, moving insect.

Thank you riverlass for looking and commenting. I had never seen one lite before such as this one, these grow up to 2". They just fly all over the yard eating mosquitos
