Gritty. Love the high ISO, it ads drama to the image! Thanks for sharing, Graham!

Thank you Dave. I think we are so saturated (pun intended) with brilliant colour these days, advertising, tv, films etc., that we can hardly see beyond the colour. Black and white makes us look at an image differently, we look for shapes, patterns, textures and expressions. We look into the monochrome image rather than at it.

I had never seen your work before today. Your incredible bookshop photo prompted me to go into your file of posts. Truly excellent work. In my humble opinion you are one of the top ten out there on the street.

I'm not trying to say anything of the sort. Where did I intimate that he shouldn't be in Cambridge?
There are less fortunate people in every city worldwide and they are perfectly entitled to go wherever they want to (at least in the UK they are, is that the case in the US?)

Graham, I've been admiring your work in the last couple of months since I joined UHH. You have a gift for finding great characters to shoot. I'm truly a newbie to photography, but you have motivated me to try my hand at B&W. In time, hopefully I can also try street photography as well. Thank you for your great posts.
Your tonal work in B&W is perfect. Your composition masterful. The story of a moment in time is engaging and thought provoking. Thank you for sharing.
