Does any one have any comparison info regarding DXO and other post processing products ? Their promos look interesting. I know they are advertising which is why I would appreciate real world info. Thanks for the help.

I have been using it for the past couple of years. It makes sense only if 1) you shoot in RAW 2) your body/lens combination(s) are supported, which you can check on their home page.
Pros:
- automated correction of exposure, chromatic aberration, white balance, noise cancellation
- excellent geometric correction (manual)
- all corrections can be done or complemented manually.
Cons:
- resource demand on the computer is pretty high. Runs best on a 64bit machine
- there is now real organizer on board. The first module called organizer is in fact only a search of pictures in your databases.
I would not give it away. I use it with PS for the organizer and retouching part.

DxO is an excellent piece of software which I've been using for 3 years or more. I shoot with Minolta/Sony gear which has never been well supported by Adobe so DxO was a natural choice for me and I wouldn't dream of going back.

I have LR4 too but it's only value for me is in cataloguing.

For my post work, DXO was made obsolete by Lightroom5. While DxO does a great job with its lens adjustments, I find that my post needs can now omit DxO from my workflow as I can handle almost all of the perspective corrections I could run into in Lightroom 5.

You may not find this to be true for you.
